Crownsville, Maryland. Jack Andraka’s hometown. He’s a fifteen year-old with an idea. A very smart idea. This kid might only be young, but he’s wise beyond his years. And his idea? Awesome.
He’s recovering from a great loss. A family friend of Jack’s – who was more like an uncle to the lad – recently died. From cancer. And now Jack is out for revenge.
He’s single-handedly developed a way to test for the early stages of pancreatic cancer. The cancer that struck down his ‘uncle’. It’s a dangerous type as – up to this point – there are no ways to test for the early signs.
And how did he come up with the idea? Just by using Goggle and Wikipedia!
This kid is going places.
